We can help with your CAD / CAM Supply & Training needs
We offer CAD / CAM supply and training on-site, which enables you to make the most of the machinery you have. We can offer a range of different training, so what ever your CAD / CAM training needs, we have the experience and knowledge to deliver.
Why CAD / CAM is so Important
CAD (Computer Aided Design) and CAM (Computer Aided Manufacture) are the way most items are made. The CAD / CAM technology enables us to produce a wide range of high quality products. If CAD / CAM technology did not exist we could not produce items at the same low cost, as they would have to built by hand, using manual techniques.
What is CAD / CAM
Although most ideas originally start as pencilled drawings, the drawing board and pencil are no longer used for design proposal, they have been replaced by CAD. Mathematical data which defines the geometry and shape are contained within a CAD file, many years ago, this data could be coded into a control machine, this is where CNC (Computer Numerical Control) came from. However modern CAD/CAM systems do all the configuring automatically, which means basically that ‘whatever you have drawn is what you will’. This process then guarantees that each and every time an item is produced it will be an exact copy.
We supply and train in a number of CAD / CAM packages
ASPAN
ASPAN is a CAD/CAM application recognised throughout the world as one of the most user-friendly CNC machine tool programming packages available on the market today. With one of the easiest and clearest operator interfaces, this product is aimed at companies who need high-end CAD/CAM drawing power without the requirement of dedicated expensive CAD/CAM operators.
ALHACAM
ALPHACAM is a leading CAM solution for wood, stone, composites and metal components from 2 Axis through to 5 Axis NC programming applications. The emphasis behind the development of Alphacam is to provide our customers with productivity, reliability, and flexibility. Improving these attributes in any company will help increase profitability.
Maestro
Xilog Maestro provides simple and intuitive 3D graphic tools for programming the processings and the control of the machine’s working tables, which is adaptable to the latest CAD/CAM systems. With only a few clicks the user is able to create a machining program using the software’s CAD drawing tools. The realistic 3D view on the workpiece, the processigns and the working tables allows him to check immediately the result.
